Nearly 450 McDonald’s stores nationwide participated in making March 13, 2017 the Best Monday Ever in celebration of the 5th National Breakfast Day. Free breakfast sandwiches, like Sausage McMuffin, Egg McMuffin, and the new Burgerdesal, delighted dine-in and drive-thru customers from 6:00 to 7:00 AM.
Hot celebrities like Alden Richards, Enrique Gil, and McDonald’s new endorsers and celebrity power couple Dingdong and Marian Rivera-Dantes, joined the event by serving the early rising customers their breakfast.
For 5 years McDonald’s has been celebrating the great effort of Filipino early risers who would wake up before the sun is even up. National Breakfast Day is McDonald’s way to honor those who often sacrifice their breakfast to fulfill their duties and provide us with our basic needs and give ease to our daily lives.
To pay tribute to our nation’s unsung morning heroes McDonald’s, on its 3rd consecutive year, puts the spotlight to a group of people who sacrifice their rest and breakfast for the benefit of the many, from the early raisers of MRT and LRT station operators, to the fishermen who greets the morning sun in the middle of the sea provide us our favorite seafood selections.
And for this year McDonald’s gave focus on every Filipinos’ second parent and molder of leaders and professionals, our beloved teachers. This year’s McDonald’s online commercial entitled “Good Morning, Teacher!” shares the story of Mrs. Luzviminda Santiago a Science teacher at the Makati High School. Mrs. Santiago has been teaching Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Science for 30 years.
Mrs. Santiago through the years epitomizes a devoted teacher. She became her student’s mentor, second mother, friend, and even best friend. Watch how Mrs. Santiago’s former students with the help of McDonald’s gave her a surprise visit/reunion to pay tribute to her great dedication on her profession.
